More and more private individuals are flocking to the Internet–and it comes as no surprise that businesses are utilizing it too. AccountancyAge reports the findings of the 2013 Pulse Survey conducted by Sage, a known accounting tech firm that developed the Peachtree Quantum software. It emphasizes the need to bridge communication gaps between accountants and their clients.

ACCOUNTANTS NEED to engage further with their clients according to a survey by accountancy IT giant Sage.

A survey of small business owners found that 39% said they would like their accountant to utilize technology more effectively so they could have better contact.

The “Pulse Survey 2013” report looked at the relationship between clients and accountants with nearly four in ten clients claiming they want to be able to contact their accountant whenever they feel it is necessary – using IT.

Laurence Collins, MD of online accountancy firm Magic Accounts, said: “Being able to contact an accountant to discuss anything from cash flow to tax issues is crucial to the smooth operation of any business, large or small.”

Survey respondents claimed that smooth operation and transactions in business are attributed to faster and easier communication patterns between clients and accountants. While this is still done via traditional means, some companies are substantially increasing their efficiency by using modern means. Recently, Sage has partnered with Microsoft to develop the Sage 200 v2013 on the latter’s online cloud platform. This opens up easier access to files and data as well as a better communication platform for everyone involved.

The Peachtree Quantum 2013 software, now known as the Sage 50 Quantum, aids in the accounting and financial management tasks of businesses. It helps manage various parts of the financial cycle, such as expenses, inventory, insurance, and taxes. It also helps make the flow of work from management and employees to clients smoother. Furthermore, it provides tools for analysis and financial reporting to help meet obligations and reduce future costs.

Handling these tasks can be a tricky business; why go through additional problems that may arise from traditional means? Software like Sage 50 Quantum from resellers like Quantum Buyers, LLC allows for financial accounting to be in one central system–which results in easier transactions with clients.
